Meet the Directors

directors_ampthtAt the helm of NarroWay Productions are founders / directors Rebecca Martin and Yvonne Clark, better known by her nickname, "Birdie."

Rebecca and Birdie met their first week at college. A few months after meeting, Rebecca was privileged to be instrumental in leading Birdie to become a Christian. The two became best friends then, and for more than 35 years have served together as a musical theatre team.

They first served as church staff where they wrote, performed and toured Christian musicals. From performing to large crowds at Myrtle Beach campgrounds, to leasing a state park amphitheatre, their hearts were to take the story of Jesus outside the walls of the church building.

In 1996, they founded NarroWay Productions.

Rebecca and Birdie have written and produced more than thirty musical productions and continue to work as a team at the helm of NarroWay, creating world-class, Christian entertainment  unlike any other.

Rebecca Martin

kr_martinKaren Rebecca Martin was born August 18, 1955, the youngest of three sisters. The family later cherished the adoption of a baby brother.

The daughter of JP and Vivian Martin, Rebecca grew up in a strong Christian home in East Tennessee. Her affinity for drama was evident from childhood as she put together "shows" in her grandparents living room with cousins and charged her grandma and grandpa to watch!

Yvonne Clark

yh_clarkYvonne Harrison Clark, affectionately known as "Birdie," was born exactly one month after Rebecca on September 18, 1955, the eldest of five children. The daughter of Sam K. and Joan Clark, she grew up in Southwest Virginia - just about twenty minutes from where Rebecca grew up. However, the two never met until they attended the same college.

Birdie always had an affinity toward music. As a young child, she watched guitar players on television shows and taught herself how to play the guitar. Though she hated practicing, she continued private piano lessions and privately composed music. She excelled throughout school as she participated in a multitude of instrumental performance groups.
