Early beginnings

Although NarroWay Productions was incorporated in the state of South Carolina on September 17, 1996, the NarroWay story begins much earlier than that!  The road to becoming one of the most unique attractions in the southeast was not traveled in a single day. Founders K. Rebecca Martin and Yvonne "Birdie" Clark have been working together for over 35 years. In the early 1980's they began to refer to their original, Broadway-style collaborations as "A NarroWay Production."

Martin and Clark began working as a music / drama team while attending Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Soon after graduation they were hired as a church staff team.

While en route to Paducah, Kentucky to record a new musical, Rebecca's thoughts were interrupted by what she calls a, "strong, spiritual voice," that clearly said, "You are to call the company, 'NarroWay Productions.'" Taken back Rebecca said, "Birdie, I think the Lord just spoke to me." Not sure if Rebecca was kidding, Birdie responded, "What did He say?" "He said, 'You are to call the company NarroWay Productions.'" To which, Birdie replied, "What company???"
